Living in Amsterdam where it’s basically pancake flat, it is hard to incorporate hill training into my training cycle. As there are some great benefits to running hills, I use bridges instead! i’ve made myself a running course where I cross the canal over some of the tallest bridges. I managed to get 140 meter ascent in an almost 30km run (which is nothing if you live in the dolomites, or near pikes peak. I know). These bridges are a great alternative to do your hill repeats too.
A while back I made a video about this little adventure. You can watch it here, or on my youtube channel.
